Entry Requirements

To ensure an appropriate learning opportunity, prospective students need to demonstrate a capacity to undertake study at Certificate III level, this can be demonstrated via the following:

  • Pre-training review to ensure student has the appropriate level of Language Literacy and Numeracy to achieve the competencies. Where a test result is supplied, it must be within the last 12 months.

  • Basic computer skills.

Additional Requirements

  • A satisfactory National Police Check (NPC) will be required for all work placements.

This program is designed to be delivered in interactive workshops in the classroom with opportunities to participate in practical field based activities and projects.

The classroom-based workshops deliver the theory and strategies to maximise employment opportunities within the horticultural sector. The practical field-based projects allow for the students to practice and apply their new learnt skills and knowledge.

Estimated duration of 35 tuition weeks allowing sufficient time to develop the necessary skills and knowledge in each unit.

All prospective students enrolling in the course are entitled to apply for recognition of prior learning (RPL) or credit transfer.
