This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply knowledge, practical skills and experience in leadership and management across a range of enterprise and industry contexts.

Individuals at this level display initiative and judgement in planning, organising, implementing and monitoring their own workload and the workload of others. They use communication skills to support individuals and teams to meet organisational or enterprise requirements.


After achieving this Diploma individuals may undertake Advanced Diploma level qualifications within the BSB Business Services Training Package such as:

  • BSB61015 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management 

Entry Requirements

To ensure an appropriate learning opportunity, candidates need to demonstrate a capacity to undertake study at a Diploma level, this can be demonstrated via the following:

  • Minimum of IELTS 5.5 (with no less than 5.0 in any component) or equivalent

  • Over 18 years of age at the commencement of the course;

  • Successfully completed an Australian Year 12 or International equivalent or;

  • Successfully completed Certificate IV in Leadership and Management or equivalent.

  • Pre-training review to assess individual needs.

This course is delivered face to face in a classroom environment with nteractive workshops and with opportunities to participate in practical application of skills and knowledge in a real life and/or simulated work environment.

2019 June Intake : 3 days per week : Monday – Tuesday – Friday 9:00 am to 4:10pm

2020 March Intake: 3 days per week: Wednesday – Thursday – Friday 9:00am to 4:10pm


Duration is 50 weeks including 10 weeks holidays allowing sufficient time to develop the necessary skills and knowledge in each unit.
